Michael E. McClure, 79, of York, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, after a courageous journey with illness, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the loving husband of Betty (Wagman) McClure. The couple would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this month.

Born May 4th, 1947, in Duluth, MN, Mike was the son of the late Kenneth E. and Clara McClure. Mike attended York Suburban High School, was a graduate of Villanova University, and received an MBA from Rutgers University.

In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his four children, Katie McClure, John McClure and his wife, Noura, Jennifer McClure and her husband, Anthony Mauser and Christopher McClure and his wife, Virginia, as well as eight grandchildren and three devoted dogs.

Most of Mike's career was spent in fleet management as the Director of Client Services for PHH Corporation in Hunt Valley, MD. Mike's greatest pleasure in life was spending time with his beloved wife and four children of whom he was so proud. He also enjoyed golf, ballroom dancing, travel, and a lovely full-bodied red wine with a nice meal out. He especially loved dogs, who always seemed to love him right back. 

His wife and children will always remember Mike as incredibly kind and extraordinarily selfless, giving freely of himself to everyone around him and never asking for anything in return. Mike was happiest when he was helping someone else; helping others was not just something he did, it was who he was.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with The Rev. Damon Tritle officiating. Visitation will be 10-11:00 AM.  Private burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery.
