Michael J. Patashna

Michael J. Patashna, age 81, of York Township, Red Lion, died at 8:34 AM Monday, March 11, 2024, at Dallastown Nursing Center. He was the husband of the late Claire E. (Erdos) Patashna.

Born November 21, 1942, in New York City, the son of the late Irving and Marjorie (Hosch) Patashna, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland.  He was retired as owner and operator of The Furniture Store of Hellam and was an established insurance agent in the York area for more than 25 years, operating as Patashna and Associates. He was a member of the Sertoma Club of York, and was a former Board member of the York JCC, serving on the original Board when the current building was built.

Mr. Patashna is survived by a son, Jeffrey M. Patashna, and his wife Michelle, of York; a daughter, Beth M. Clark, and her husband Kenneth, of Bel Air, Maryland; four grandchildren, Megan Clark, and her husband Steven Prichard, Melanie Clark, Meredith Clark, and Abigail Patashna; and a sister, Lynda Heilman, of Easton, Maryland.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, March 15, 2024, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with Rabbi Marshal Klaven officiating. Burial will be in South Hill Hebrew Cemetery. Shiva will follow at Homewood Suites, 200 Masonic Drive, York.
