Michael A. Sterner, age 79, of York, died Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Willow Valley in Lancaster.

Born February 16, 1945, in York, a son of the late Elder P. James “E.P. James” Sterner, and Margie E. (Kirkpatrick) Sterner, he was a 1963 graduate of York Country Day School and attended York Junior College.  A lifelong professional sales representative, he began his career at Record Club of America.  He then worked for American Greeting Cards, and then Norcross Greeting Cards.  Currently he was employed by Associated Product Services, Inc., in Mechanicsburg, where he had worked for the past 20 years.  He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

Mr. Sterner was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn (Loeffler) Sterner; their son, Christopher L. Sterner, and his brother, James Patrick Sterner.  He is survived by his sister-in-law, Susan Sterner, of York.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 340 East Market Street, York, with his Pastor, The Rev. Dr. JP Bohanan, officiating.   A reception will immediately follow.  Private burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.  Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
