Nancy L. (Slonaker) Wilt Obituary

Nancy L. (Slonaker) Wilt, of West Manchester Township, York, passed away Saturday evening, December 20, 2025, with her family by her side at UPMC Memorial Hospital.


Born July 19, 1938, in York, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Clara (Martin) Slonaker.


Nancy was married to the late George W. Wilt, Jr., who passed away in 2013.


She graduated from William Penn High School, class of 1956. She was a former employee of the W. T. Grant Company and was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church since 1959.


Nancy is survived by her children, Dennis Wilt (Patti), Susan Penley (Scott), and Lisa Rinehart (Robert); seven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.


She is also survived by two sisters, Gail Wentz and Ann Laughman and her husband, Donald; and a brother Richard Slonaker and numerous nieces and nephews.


She was proceeded in death by sisters Doris (Slonaker) Adams and Kathryn (Slonaker) Miller, brothers Robert Slonaker, Donald Slonaker and sister in-law Deanna Slonaker and brother in-law Charles Wentz.


Nancy enjoyed family outings and putting her puzzles together. She loved living at Springfield Apartments and made many new friends there.


Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with her Pastor, Kevin Stout officiating. Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 AM Private burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
