Naomi R. Hughes

Naomi R. Hughes, age 87, of Newberry Township, Dover, died at 9:35 AM Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center in Enola. She was the wife of the late Mearl Hughes.

Born April 14, 1938, in Lewisberry, she was one of eight children of the late Robert and Valley (Tusing) Anderson.  She is survived by a daughter, Kelly J. Shutt, of Dover; two sons, Brian M. Hughes, and his wife Olesa, and Earl D. Hughes; three grandchildren, Brandon, Katelyn, and Sadie; and two great grandchildren, Addison and Bentley. She was also preceded in death by a son, Craig E. Sterner; and seven siblings.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, January 9, 2026, at Pinchot Assembly of God, 2755 Rosstown Road, Wellsville, with Pastor Harry Berman officiating. Viewing will be from 1:00-2:00 PM. Burial will be in Parkville Cemetery, Dover. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
