Pastor David G. Rand, age 95, of York, passed on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. He was the husband of Martha N. Rand.

Born January 26, 1930, in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was a son of the late Frank Rand, Sr. and the late Helen M. Rand.  He earned a Master of Theology in 1959 from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary, then located in Takoma Park, MD. In 1987, he obtained a Master of Arts in Education from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.  He retired in 1997 having pastored churches in Michigan, California, Washington State, and Florida.  He was a member of York Seventh-day Adventist Church.

In addition to his wife of 65 years, Pastor Rand is survived by his daughter, Dr. Marquita Sullivan, and her husband Darrell, of Hanover.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at York Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2220 Roosevelt Avenue, York, with Pastor Charles Tapp officiating.  William E.
