Patricia Ann Weidner, age 87, of York Township, York, peacefully passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at York South Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of Jerry C. Weidner.

Born January 18, 1938, in Jacobus, she was the daughter of the late Erwin L. and Bernice E. (Smith) Shearer.  She was a 1958 graduate of York Hospital School of Nursing. Upon graduating, she worked at York Hospital as a Registered Nurse and also at a private practice. After devoting herself to raising her children, she worked at Leader Heights Animal Hospital.  She was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church, in Jacobus, where she was the organist for nearly 30 years.

In addition to her husband, Patty is survived by her son, Jerry C. Weidner, II and his wife, Angie of Columbia, SC, twin daughters, Julie A. Groff, of Red Lion, PA and Jane A. Vanasdale and her husband, Jim of Malta, NY, and her son, Jeffrey D. Weidner and his wife Beth, of Schwenksville, PA ; thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; and a nephew, Timothy L. Shearer, and his wife Peg, of Dallastown, PA and their family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry L. Shearer, his wife, Betty and their daughter, Michelle and son-in-law, Dr. Steven K. Groff.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Salem Lutheran Church, 99 York Road, Jacobus, with her Pastor, The Rev. Tina Minnich, officiating. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery. A reception with the family will immediately follow. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
