Paula Jane (Reece) Jensenius, age 102, passed away on April 3, 2026, following a brief illness.

Paula was born in Needham, Massachusetts, on February 12, 1924, to the late Robert and Lillian Reece. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Jensenius Sr., and her brothers, Carl and Richard Reece. She is survived by her three sons, Robert (Billie Jean), John Jr. (Linda), and Ted (Kathy); eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Paula graduated from Needham High School in 1942. She earned degrees from Green Mountain College in Vermont, Millersville University, and Shippensburg University (Master of Library Science). She began her career as a trust accountant with a Boston law firm and retired as a librarian with the Northeastern School District.

Her family was her greatest joy. She loved keeping up with their lives and celebrating their accomplishments.

Paula also enjoyed playing cards, reading, and participating in the American Association of University Women’s book club until the age of 102. She loved traveling with Elderhostel programs, entertaining, and spending time at her summer camp on Silver Lake in the Adirondacks, where she enjoyed swimming in the refreshing water and rowing her boat.

Paula was proud of her voting record, having voted in every general election beginning at the age of 21, missing only two because of health issues.

She was also proud of her Boston heritage. Paula never lost her accent and was a fan of Ted Williams and the Red Sox.

The family would like to thank the many people whose kindness and support made it possible for Paula to remain in her home throughout her life.

Per her wishes, funeral services will be private. She wanted to be remembered as someone who was full of life—and for 102 years, she truly was.
