Philip A. Stover, Jr., age 78, of North Codorus Township, Spring Grove, died at 11:26 PM Wednesday, August 26, 2025, at his residence. He was the husband of Sherry L. (Garver) Stover.
Born June 20, 1947, in York, a son of the late Philip A. Stover, Sr. and the late Helen S. (Van Pelt) Stover, he was a self-employed contractor and enjoyed going to the Delaware Beach.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, Mr. Stover is survived by three sons, John P. Stover, of Thompsontown, Philip A. Stover, III, of Spring Grove, and Timothy A. Stover, of Liverpool; three grandchildren, Brady, Jessica, and Dylan; five great grandchildren, Sophia, Alicen, Bryson, Carter, and Kenley; a sister, Deborah Welty; and a brother, Andrew Stover.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with The Rev. Bonnie Whittier officiating. Viewing will be from 12:30-1:30 PM. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
