Philip H. Trump

Philip H. Trump, age 70, of York Township, York, died at 3:49 PM Thursday, June 4, 2026, at his residence after a year-long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Janie D. (Gunnet) Trump.

Born September 25, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was a son of the late Dale and Arta Mae (Warner) Trump.  He earned his Associate’s Degree from Penn State University in Forestry and was the first York County Park Ranger. He later worked in the horticulture industry for the majority of his career, including decades in the family business. He enjoyed raising cattle on the family farm and fly fishing. He was a member of Aldersgate Church and the Izaak Walton League.

In addition to his wife of 50 years, Mr. Trump is survived by two sons, Michael P. Trump, and his wife Lauralee, of York, and Matthew P. Trump, and his wife Elizabeth, of York; and six grandchildren, Gwen, Henry, Kate, Jackson, Caroline, and Holden. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale S. “Sid” Trump.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, June 12, 2026, at Aldersgate Church, 397 Tyler Run Road, York, with Pastor Jeff Markey officiating. Viewing will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York. Private burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
