Phyllis M. Altland

Phyllis M. Altland, age 78, of Dover, died at 2:10 AM Monday, March 4, 2024, at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of Kenneth C. Altland.

Born April 26, 1945, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Julia M. (Young) Snyder, she retired from Danskin after 40 years of employment. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed shopping and collecting baskets, and attended many classic car shows.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Altland is survived by two daughters, Bethann and Doug Bates, of Delaware and Cindy and Tim Hawkins, of North Carolina; two stepdaughters, Corinna Osborne, and Shona Altland; six grandchildren, five step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ryan, of Manchester; and a brother, Lloyd Snyder, of Manchester; and ten nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Lee Mae Lehr; two brothers, Robert and Wayne Snyder.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 4690 West Market Street, York, PA 17408. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, are assisting with arrangements.
