Ralph J. “Bud” Wolfe, Jr., age 87, of West Manchester Township, York, died at 5:06 PM, on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Joan M. “Sue” (Billet) Wolfe.
Born April 11, 1934, in York, a son of the late Ralph J. and Martha I. (Stover) Wolfe, he was a graduate of William Penn High School. He was retired from the printing department of Fleming (formerly P.A. & S. Small Company) after 35 years of employment. In his free time he enjoyed woodworking, tinsmithing, swimming, bowling, reading and being outdoors. An avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, he also enjoyed going to Spring Training in Florida.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Wolfe is survived by a daughter, Vickie L. Toomey of Mount Wolf; a son, Daniel R. Wolfe of York; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Toomey, Ron Toomey, and his companion Rachell Daczka, Benjamin Toomey and his wife Lauren, Samuel Toomey and his companion Sophie Brodt; a great granddaughter, Adalyn Senft; and many nieces and nephews. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Kilp and Joann Cotton; a brother, Thomas Wolfe; and a grandson, Jacob Toomey.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, July 2, 2021, at The Semmel Chapel of Workinger Semmel Funeral Home and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with the Rev. Stanley Reep officiating. Viewing will be from 9:00-10:00 AM. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
