Ray D. Kohr, age 92, of Dover Township, Dover, died at 7:50 PM Friday, January 9, 2026, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Joyce E. (Kohler) Kohr.

Born May 16, 1933, in Saginaw, he was the son of the late C.C. and Violet V. Kohr.

Ray was employed by several insurance companies as a private adjuster throughout his career. He is a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Kohr is survived by his five children, Dean E. Kohr and wife, Kathy, of Manchester; Dwayne D. Kohr and his wife Kate, of Carlisle; Deirdre E. Kohr and her companion, Brian Karsnitz, of York; Douglas R. Kohr and his wife, Debra, of Manchester; and Dana L. Schmuck and her husband, Thomas, of Lancaster; nine grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kohr, Aaron Morningstar (Kayla), Zachary Kohr (Kathy), Sean Schmuck (Sarah), Morgan Kohr (Ben), Allison Morningstar (Christian), Daphne Himes (Aiden), Beau Kirchner (Tisha), and Joseph Leo (Anna); and several great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Edwin, and sisters, Gladys, Ruth, Isabelle, Gertrude, and Madelyn.
