Richard F. Joseph Obituary

Richard F. Joseph, age 78, of North Codorus Township, formerly of Lamar, South Carolina, died at 9:43 PM Sunday, September 8, 2024, at UPMC Memorial. He was the husband of Ellen F. (Jowett) Joseph. The couple were married for 56 years, and together for 59 years.

Born March 19, 1946, in Camden, New Jersey, a son of the late Richard and Edna (Hargrove) Joseph, he worked as a machinist for Navy Shipyard in Philadelphia, manufacturing submarine propellers. He was chief of the Blenheim fire company in Blenheim, NJ. He was an avid fisherman, who loved playing Santa Claus and rebuilding bikes for children in need.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Joseph is survived by two sons, Christopher F. Joseph, and his wife Debbie, of York, and Jason M. Joseph, and his wife Joann, of Franklinville, New Jersey; and three grandchildren, Nathan, Joshua, and Matthew. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronald C. Joseph.

The celebration of life is schedule for 6pm Monday September 16, 2024, at Franklinville United Methodist Church 1525 Coles Mills Road Franklinville NJ 08322.
