Richard A. Sheffer

Dover - Richard A. Sheffer, age 68, of Dover Township, Dover, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at his residence. He was the husband of Ruthanna M. (Obenstine) Sheffer.

Born August 17, 1952, in York, he was a son of the late Elmer Sheffer and Maedel (Zech) Sheffer, he had served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was the owner of Rich Sheffer Painting. He was a member of Christ Community Church, as well as the Viking Athletic Association.

In addition to his wife of 25 years, Mr. Sheffer is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Goins and her husband Joel, of Red Lion, and MaKayla Cameron of Dover; a grandson, Jay Allen Rodriguez; three sisters, Connie Arnold, Joan Gillespie and Kathy Sheffer; and a brother Edward Sheffer. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Dubbs; and a brother, Gerald Sheffer.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, April 23, 2021, at Christ Community Church, 1201 Slate Hill Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011, with Pastor Tim Spirk officiating. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
