Richard H. Simon, Jr., age 87, of Springettsbury Township, York, died at 6:18 AM Monday, July 22, 2024, at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Baer) Simon.

Born March 21, 1937, in York, a son of the late Richard H. and Goldie E. (Rousher) Simon, he had worked for Lion Metal and then Cole Steel, and Flinchbaugh Machining and Manufacturing.

Mr. Simon is survived by his children, Lori Simon, and Neil Simon, both of Yoe. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Robert Simon.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jane Harrison officiating. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
