Robert E. Culp, age 79, of Manchester Township, York, died at 4:45 AM Sunday, August 31, 2025, at his residence. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Chapleskie) Culp.
Born September 14, 1945, in Shamokin, he was a son of the late Charles and Florence (Zimmerman) Culp. He first served in the US Air Force in Viet Nam and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, the Viet Nam Service Medal, and the Republic of Viet Nam Campaign Medal. He was retired from Caterpillar, Inc., where he was a member of the United Auto Workers Union Local #1872. He was also a member of Kreutz Creek VFW and Shiloh American Legion
In addition to his wife of 59 years, Mr. Culp is survived by a daughter, Kimberly A. Culp-Henise, and her husband Brad Henise, of York; two grandsons, Blake Culp-Henise, and his wife Kassandra, and Branden Culp-Henise. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Arlene Whary, Emmaline Shubert, Charles Culp, Jr., Charmane Hendricks, and Ken Culp.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, September 5, 2025, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, with full military honors. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
