Robert Eugene Delle, of Conewago Township, York, passed away April 7, 2025, at 98 years young surrounded by family at 8:30 PM. He was the husband of the late Evelyn J. (Witmer) Delle.

Robert was born January 3, 1927, to the late Effie (Emig) Delle Fissel and the late Oscar Delle. He served in WWII after high school (got a trip to Europe for graduation he would say) entering the Army in 1945. Upon returning from war in 1946 he worked for National Biscuit while attending night school on the GI bill studying carpentry and bricklaying. He married the love of his life on March 6, 1948, and continued their fairytale life for 75 years. Bob built their home and then his son’s home in 1967. He retired from Servomation (vending company) after 30 years of employment. Devoted to the Lord, he was a member of Quickel Lutheran Church until 1969 where he and his wife were in choir, taught Sunday Schools, and served on Church Council. In 1969 he joined Saint Paul United Methodist Church, in Manchester, where he devoted his time as Sunday School Superintendent, usher, and Board of Trustees. He was a member of Susquehanna Lions Club and was a volunteer fireman at Goodwill Fire Company. He also worked serving his community and taking care of family and friends.

Bob is survived by a son, Lanny D. Delle, and his wife Glenda; a granddaughter, Lannette (Delle) (Marino) Staub, and her partner Charles; great grandchildren; Justin, and his wife Dana, Jensen, Jayce, Anthony, and his wife Alicia, Joseph, Braelyn, and her partner John; great-great grandchildren; Justin, Jr., Landen, Zoie, Luna, Vinnie, and two more on the way; brother, Charles Fissel; and nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn J. Delle; granddaughter, Jodi L. Delle Ritter; sister, Gertrude Eleanor; and brothers, Clair, Howard, George, and Harry.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 4360 Board Road, Manchester, with his Pastor, The Rev. Roger Mentzer and The Rev. Dr. Eddie D.D. Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be at 1:30 PM in Mount Rose Cemetery. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
