Robert E. Greenawalt

Robert E. Greenawalt, age 90, of York, died at 2:22 PM Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Wellspan York Hospital. He was the husband of Susan K. (Kline) Greenawalt.

Born August 25, 1932, in Long Level, one of six children of the late John W. and Lillie J. (Tome) Greenawalt, he was retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after 35 years of employment.  He was a member of York Second Church of the Brethren, where he served as a Deacon.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, Mr. Greenawalt is survived by two daughters, Barbara A. Biser, of York and Jean M. Brillhart, and her husband Michael, of Daytona, Florida; two sons, Craig S. Greenawalt, and his wife Dezirae, of Dallastown, and Brian Greenawalt, and his companion Diane, of York; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Repman.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at The Semmel Chapel of Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York with The Rev. Courtland Howard officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM. Burial will be private.
