Ruth Mae Albright Obituary

Ruth went to walk with Jesus and other family members that passed away before her, at home on Range Road at 7:10 AM Saturday. She was on hospice for months and thank you to all the aids and nurses that came and cared for her. She was the long-time love and wife of Michael L. Albright a total of 45 years.

Her parents were Phillip and Sarah (Stine) King (both deceased), a brother Robert (also deceased) and a beloved sister June Paules, numerous nieces and nephews all having a special place in her heart.

Ruth is survived by her husband Michael Albright, her three daughters, Beth Rivera, Diane Feroce, and April Bowser, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandson, and one she will never meet.

Ruth graduated from William Penn in 1956, retired from Bon Ton Foods after 38 years, was a member of the Baker’s union, was a member of Pleasureville American Legion Auxiliary, and was part of the West Manchester Mall Walkers and went on several bus trips with the group. She was a people person and had fun wherever she went. She enjoyed music and dancing.

There will be a graveside service at Mount Zion Cemetery on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with Chaplain Alan Echard officiating. We will have a Celebration of Life on a later date.   Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 would be greatly appreciated as the staff there are wonderful and very good at their jobs.
