Sandra A. Leese, age 87, of West Manchester Township, York, died at 10:08 AM Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at her residence.  She was the wife of the late George L. Leese.

Born September 18, 1937, in York, the daughter of the late Ira L. and Lucy R. (Neff) Wilkinson, she was retired from Bendix Corporation.  She was a member of White Rose Senior Center, where she enjoyed arts and crafts, and was an active participant of Senior Olympics as a player, coach and referee. She enjoyed traveling to many countries in the world and, in earlier years, was active in fencing and dancing.

Mrs. Leese is survived by two sons, Lesley J. Heiland, Jr., of York, and Eugene B. Heiland, and his wife Kathy, of Chesterfield, Virginia; a daughter, Raylene F. Nonnemocher, and her husband Robert, of Columbia; four grandchildren, Sarah, William, Rose, and Heidi; and two great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by four brothers.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Guests are invited to gather at the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance to the Cemetery at 9:45 AM.  Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
