Sharon L. Cohen Obituary

Sharon L. Cohen, age 74, of East Manchester Township, died at 7:03 PM Sunday, January 19, 2025, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Jerrold “Jerry” Cohen for 53 years.

Born February 23, 1950, in York, Sharon was a daughter of the late Lester and Ruth (Lehr) Heiges.  She graduated in 1968 from Central York High School, then obtained an associate degree from York College. She retired from the State of Pennsylvania, where she worked in the office of Vocational Rehabilitation.  After retirement she worked as an administrative assistant at several local Churches. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York, and its Knitting Group.  She was an adoring mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Cohen is survived by a daughter, Rachel A. Cohen, of Sanford, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Delaney and McKenna; two sisters, Diane Chronister and Matthew, of Jacobus and Brenda Snyder, of Red Lion; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York, 925 South George Street, York, with The Rev. Christin Green officiating. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, is assisting with arrangements.
