Sharon L. Martin Obituary

Sharon L. Martin, age 80, of York, died at 7:08 AM Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at York South Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Harold “Leon” Martin.


Born February 18, 1946, in Prince George’s County, Maryland, she was one of sixteen children of the late John F. and Laura E. (Sirles) Dolan.  She retired from the United States Department of Defense and was a member of Church of the Open Door.  She loved reading and spending time with family, friends, and cats.


Mrs. Martin is survived by her sister, Leslie Montagne, two sons, Derrick W. Martin, and his wife Jennifer, of Fairfield, and Daniel K. Martin, and his wife Cecilia, of York; five grandchildren, Kathleen, Johnathan, Christopher, Mary, and Shannon.


Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 2150 Carlisle Road, York with Pastor Robert Riedy officiating. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial is scheduled for 1:30 PM Wednesday in New Freedom Cemetery.
