Sharon Reilly, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully journeyed into the arms of her personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 13, 2024.
Born on March 11, 1954, she was the cherished daughter of the late George and Lois Drost. Sharon found true love and companionship in Gerry Reilly, whom she married on August 14, 1977. Together, they shared 40 years of love and devotion until his passing in January 2017.
Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love through her four devoted sons: Shane (Kettybel) of York, PA, Kevin (Erica) of York, PA, Brian (Sarah) of Milton, DE, and Kyle (Lauren) of Lititz, PA. She is also survived by her eleven adoring grandchildren: Yadiel, Kenneth, Sophia, Ava, Brogan, Decklin, Patrick, Graeme, Penn, Owen, Callan, with one more on the way, and her faithful Westie, Zoey. She was preceded in death by her brother, the late Richard Drost.
A woman of steadfast faith, Sharon found solace and community at Living Word and Church of the Open Door. Her dedication to her family knew no bounds, and her culinary talents brought joy to countless gatherings. With a passion for the beach, gardening, cooking, and orchestrating memorable events, Sharon's zest for life was infectious.
Sharon's compassionate spirit led her to devote herself to volunteer work and substitute teaching at the Christian School of York, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and wisdom.
The Reilly family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to the outstanding care team of Dr. Chris Turnpaugh, Dr. Gregory Willis, Dr. Ruth Fletcher, Laura at Grane Hospice, and Ellen Metzger for their compassionate care and support.
