Sharon S. “SIS” Steed, age 68, of York, died peacefully at her home Monday, September 4, 2023. She was the wife of James Steed.
Born November 13, 1954, in York, she was a daughter of the late Ned and Thelma (Evans) Short.
In addition to her husband Jim, she is survived by her three children, a son, Larry R. Ness, Jr. (Tina), of Mount Joy; two daughters, Jerrielle R. Weaver (Jim), of Lancaster, and Laren K. Foose, of York; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Brenda DiDo, of Felton, Linda Hake (David), of Dallastown, and her twin sister, Karen Gurtizen (Jeff), of Cocoa, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, H. Kathryn (Sue) Weaver, Donna J. Shupp, and Marian V. Short; a brother, Ned M. Short, Jr.; and a grandson, Brandain K. Ness.
