Sharon Jean (Kauffman)Winstead, age 77, of Springettsbury Township, York, died at 10:10 AM Thursday, June 19, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer at Misericordia Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of Victor L. Winstead, Jr., and the late Marcelin Jules Delzangle.

Born January 1, 1948, in York, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Geneva M. (Miller) Kauffman.  She completed her education in Dental Hygiene at The University of Pennsylvania and had worked as a Dental Hygienist for Dr. Dietz, until his retirement, Drs. Stein and Shannon, and retired after working for Dr. Thomas Corsaro.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Winstead is survived by a daughter, Dr. Alicia M. (Delzangle) McDyre, and her husband, James, of State College; and twin granddaughters, Ella G. and Ireland R. McDyre. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin C. Kauffman, II.

Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of private funeral arrangements.  Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery.
