Shirley Mae Gumpher

Shirley Mae Gumpher, age 86, of Newberry Township, Etters, died at 11:29 AM Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice in Harrisburg. She was the wife of the late LeRoy I. Gumpher, Sr.

Born March 2, 1937, in Hanover, the daughter of the late Carl and Ruth E. (Carbaugh) Parr, she worked as a life-long farmer.

Mrs. Gumpher is survived by seven children, Bobbi Jo Whitebread, Mabel S. Barner, Shirley E. Miller, LeRoy I. Gumpher, Jr., Robert E. Gumpher, Brian C. Smith, and Carl E. Gumpher; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, September 7, 2023, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with The Rev. Bonnie Whittier officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 AM. Burial will be in East Harrisburg Cemetery.
