Shirley J. Sheaffer, age 89, of Fairview Township, Etters, died at 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill. She was the wife of Paul E. Sheaffer.
Born June 16, 1933, in York, a daughter of the late Clyde B. and Emma C. (Shettel) Spahr, she was retired from Berg Electronics and was a member of Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church. She also a member of the former United Methodist Women and volunteered making peanut butter Easter eggs.
In addition to her husband of 69 years, Mrs. Sheaffer is survived by two daughters, Sandra L. Potvin, of Etters, and Janice L. Cassatt, and her husband John, of York; four grandchildren, Sarah Potvin, Becky Reynolds and her husband, Matt, Kraig Fletcher and his wife, Chrissy, and Gwen Cassatt; two great grandchildren, Dean and Arlo; and a sister, Dorothy L. Keech. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William M. Spahr; and two sisters, Arlene D. Jacoby and Jacqueline M. Wertz.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church, 402 Valley Road, Etters, with her Pastor, The Rev. Les Towsey, officiating. Viewing will be from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in the adjoining Church Cemetery. William E Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
