Steven R. Farrell, age 62, of West Manchester Township, York, passed away peacefully at 10:40 AM Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Wellspan York Hospital.

Born October 12, 1963, in Riverhead, New York, he was a son of Vincent J. Farrell, of Dover, and the late Margaret L. (Behnke) Farrell.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from York College and was the former co-owner of Farrell’s Nursery. Following Steve’s career in the garden industry, he worked in management for Walmart for more than 10 years and, most recently, for Hollywood Casino. He was active with David’s Tent in Washington, DC, and hosted Bible studies at his home, where he enjoyed playing the piano and singing. Steve’s other passions included hiking the Appalachian Trail, riding his dual sport bike, hosting family poker night and, most importantly, helping those in need.

In addition to his father, Mr. Farrell is survived by a daughter, Kathleen M. Cartwright, and her husband Kevin, of Dover; a son, Grant T. Farrell, and his girlfriend Samantha Bupp, of York; and two brothers, Timothy Farrell, of Dover, and Vincent Farrell, of Seven Valleys.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York. Viewing will be from 1:00-2:00 PM. Private burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery.
