Susan Babner Sweitzer, age 72, of Conewago Township, York, died at 2:45 PM Friday, February 7, 2025, at UPMC Memorial. She was the spouse of Robert H. Sweitzer, Jr.

Born October 30, 1952, in York, she was a daughter of the late Marvin Babner and the late Dolores (Henry) Babner Staub. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and the family’s annual trip to the beach.

In addition to her spouse, she is survived by two daughters, Susan M. Axe, and her husband Ryan, of York, and Jamie L. Gulden, and her husband Donnie, Dover; a son, Robert H. Sweitzer, III, of York; six grandchildren; three brothers, Rick Greenwood, of Thomasville, Charlie Babner, of Manchester, and Willliam Babner, of York Haven; and a sister, Judy Richards, of Manchester. She was also preceded in death by two siblings, Mickey Shirey and Marvin Babner, Jr.

A memorial reception will be held from 2:00-4:00 Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Church of the Open Door, 8 Carlisle Court, York, with Pastor Jeremy Drake officiating. Burial will be private. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
