Sylvia A. Lehr, age 91, of Manchester Township, York, died at 9:23 AM Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Raymond D. “Sparky” Lehr, and former wife of the late S. Ronald Heede.

Born May 22, 1934, in York, she was a daughter of the late J. Louis and Verna G. (Zarfoss) Schroeder.  She was a 1952 graduate of William Penn High School and retired from United Defense Company.  She had also previously worked for Bell Telephone, George’s Stationery, and McCroy’s in downtown York.  She was a member of Luther Memorial Church and a former member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, in Largo, Florida.

Mrs. Lehr is survived by two daughters, Rhonda A. King, of Dover, and Laurie R. Tobin, and her husband Brian, of Palm City, Florida; a son, Stephen R. Heede, and his wife Teresa, of Mesa, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Matthew Smith, Kaitlyn Tobin, PhD, Anya Tobin, Ryan Tobin, Greg Sohnlitner, and Teresa Pinard; and ten great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte Reiley, and Jean Miller; and two brothers, Richard and James Schroeder.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with her Pastor, The Rev. Vanessa Storlie, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 AM. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
