Tammy Sue Leiphart, age 55, of York, entered eternal rest at 2:08 PM Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Gulf Coast Medical Center, in Florida. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother and GiGi.

Born November 4, 1968, in York, a daughter of Linda (Leiphart) Mattox and Carlos Mercado, Sr.  Tammy’s desire to help others led her to enter the nursing field where she continued working as an LPN for more than 35 years. She was known for her kindness and desire to help anyone in need. She was excited to spend her life in York helping to feed and clothe the homeless. She loved riding her motorcycle, calling it her therapy.

Tammy loved her family and was excited when her first grandchild was born. She wanted nothing more than to be a GiGi and spend time with her grandson. For the last three months she was able to enjoy being the GiGi she always wanted to be.

She is survived by a son, Robert Parker, and his wife Stephany Lopez, of Ft. Myers, Florida; a grandson, Tre Andres Bowman Parker; a brother Carlos J. Mercado; and a sister, Maria Francis. She was also preceded in death by a son, Tre Isaac Parker; grandparents, Harry S. and Ethel M. Leiphart; an aunt, Rosetta Frey; and two uncles, Stewart Leiphart and Chuck Leiphart.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York. Visitation will be 2:00-3:00 PM.
