The Reverend Vicki D. Smith, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania was carried peacefully into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus while at home with her devoted husband by her side on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Born on July 17, 1951, in Ceredo Kenova, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Erwin Leroy (Lee) Whetsel and Helen Marie (Meeks) Whetsel of Florida. She was also preceded in death by a younger sister.
Surviving her is a loving husband of 43 years, Matthew D. Smith, and loving family that includes daughter, Dawn L. Packer, sons, Robert G. Kubilis and Edward F. Kubilis, six grandchildren, one great grandson, and three brothers, and two sisters.
After being called into ministry by the Lord, Rev. Smith served as an ordained minister and Pastor at His Heart Tabernacle in Mechanicsburg, PA for 27 years, devoted to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and His people with her whole heart and life. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and a blessing and strength to all who she encountered.
A Christian Memorial Service, officiated by her partner in ministry and loving husband, Matthew D. Smith, will be held at His Heart Tabernacle, 4721 Delbrook Road, Mechanicsburg, PA on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Monday in the church. Interment will follow in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
