Thomas N. Coble, age 61, of York, died surrounded by loved ones at 5:05 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Born May 7, 1963, in York County, he was the adopted son of the late Neil E. and Connie Kay (Oller) Coble. He was a 1981 graduate of the Christian School of York. Tom was dedicated to his career and the medical field. Tom’s career began with three tours as a Corpsman in the US Navy, followed by a combat medic with the U.S. Army Reserve. After his role as a caregiver with Shadowfax, Tom was then employed for many years at York Hospital.
Mr. Coble is survived by birth mother Paula Schmuck, sisters Jane C. Coble, Monica (Coble) Knepper, and Sophie Eppley, all of York; cousins Matthew V. Coble and his wife Karen, Thomasville; Jenifer (Coble) Bruner and husband Robert, York; Shauna (Coble) Holtzapple, Dover; Cletus Coble, California; Keely (Fisher) Dumbleton and husband Frank, Macungie; Kent Fisher and wife Bonnie, Souderton; and Kourtney (Fisher) Iman and husband Brian, Montana.
A graveside service is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Prospect Hill Cemetery, York, with military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 10:45 a.m. at Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene, 400 Stillmeadow Lane, York. A reception with the family will immediately follow the service. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc. 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
