It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Tyler Joseph Sharp who left us too soon on August 5, 2024, at the age of 29. Survived by his mother, Catherine J. Sharp-Newpher and her husband, Todd A. Newpher of York.

Tyler leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Nancy E. Sharp of Lancaster and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, Wisconsin and Texas. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Earl J. Sharp. Tyler will be remembered for his love of nature and spending time outdoors. He spent many summers in his youth going to Ocean City, Maryland with his family. He had a deep connection to the ocean and found peace and joy in coastal areas. Tyler was also passionate about gardening. He truly found happiness tending to plants and vegetables, nurturing them to thrive. Tyler will be remembered for his great affection and compassion for animals. He especially had a deep fondness for his dogs, Adel and Bruce, and pet turtle, Sandy.  Tyler also enjoyed cooking, skateboarding, basketball, welding, playing his guitar, listening to music, video and card games. 

Viewing will be 5:30-7:00 PM followed by memorial service at 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with The Reverend Peter Rettig, of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church officiating.
