Words cannot express the sadness that the family of Victoria Lyn Demmitt is feeling as we say farewell. Born on September 19, 1951, in York, PA, Vicky was the daughter of the late Floyd and Edith (Unger) Viands. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 56 years, Carl H. Demmitt, her son, Thomas Demmitt, grandchildren, Tyler Demmitt, Alyssa Demmitt, Owen Demmitt, Allison Demmitt, and Kaylie Huber. She also leaves her pride and joys, her three great grandchildren, Preston, Hazy and Myles, five siblings, Sundra Shaffer, Deborah Grogan, Linda Baublitz, Cathy Hollinger, and David Viands, as well as so many brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Steven Viands, Sr.

Vicky graduated from William Penn High School in 1969 and went on to work at Lock Box Inc., P.A. Smalls, Inc., Industrial Solid-State Controls, Inc., and Honeywell Inc., where she retired after 43 years in the work force.

Vicky was a kind and caring person who always seemed to know exactly what her family needed, and she always gave so much of herself to those she loved. She found joy in the happiness of her family. Her strength and resilience were inspiring to us all. While we carry her spirit in our hearts forever, we will always cherish the love and memories that we shared with her.

A service to celebrate Vicky’s life will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, November 24, 2025, at William E. Little Funeral Homes., Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
