Vivian E. Walton

Vivian E. Walton, age 84, of York Township, York, passed away 3:40 PM Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Manor Care Health Services North.  She was the wife of Kenneth E. Walton.

Born June 25, 1937 in Brodbeck, she was a daughter of the late Elmer R. and Ruth M. (Werner) Laughman.  She was a 1955 graduate of Susquehannock High School, and was retired from AMP Inc. where she worked as an inspector from 1960-1999.   She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, and its Sunday School, where she served in numerous capacities including Communion Steward for 20 years.  She was also a member of the United Methodist Women, and was a volunteer at the York Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pharmacy for 20 years.

In addition to her husband of nearly 50 years, Mrs. Walton is survived by a daughter, Misti Ramirez (Jacinto), of York; a son, Brian Lucabaugh (Christina), of Dallastown; two stepsons, Michael Walton (Catherine), of Hanover, and Gregory Walton (Lori), of Hanover; three grandchildren, Brandi Bressler (Bill), of York, Brooke McCallum (John), of Dallastown, and Dale Lucabaugh, of Dallastown; three great grandchildren, Autumn, Avelyn, and Aeryn McCallum, all of  Dallastown; two step grandchildren, Michael Walton (Catherine), of Hanover, and Gregory Walton (Lori), of Hanover; five step great grandchildren, Chad Walton (Ashley), of Abbottstown, Chelsea Zawisa (Zachary), of Lancaster, Joshua Walton, of Hanover, Erica Messinger, of Hanover, and Colin Messinger, of Hanover; two sisters, Ethelyn “Essie” Shearer (Elmer), of Spring Grove, and Merriel “Jean” Kehr, of Hanover; and her sister-in-law, Betty Laughman, of Glen Rock.  She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Samuel Walton; and two brothers, Ronald and Nevin Laughman.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 397 Tyler Run Road, York, with The Rev. Austin White officiating.  Visitation will be 9-10:00 AM.  Entombment will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.  Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street is in charge of arrangements.
