Wilbur J. Noel

Wilbur J. Noel, age 86, of Springettsbury Township, York, died at 4:52 AM Monday, September 5, 2022 at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Catherine L. (Messinger) Noel.

Born May 30, 1936, in Hanover, a son of the late Paul and Emma (Livingston) Noel, he was a graduate of Delone Catholic High School. Mr. Noel was a US Navy Veteran and retired from BAE Systems, formerly BMY. He was a member of the New Oxford Social Club and was an avid fisherman and hunter. A friend to all, he always had a joke to brighten your day.

Mr. Noel is survived by three daughters, Vickie Witman, and her husband Tom, of York, Donna Wright, of Harrisburg, Rita Yost, and her husband Michael, of East Berlin; a son, Ronald Emenheiser, and his wife Trish, of Ocean Grove, New Jersey; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; one great great grand daughter; a brother, Gary Noel, and his wife Chris, of Thomasville; four sisters, Delores Smith, of New Oxford; Constance Pizzoli, of New Oxford; Victoria Gladhill, and her husband Dennis, of Littlestown, and Christine Rimestad, and her husband Kenneth, of Fort Washington, Maryland.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Emenheiser; four brothers, Frederick, Donald, David, and Michael Noel; and a great granddaughter, Lilith Keesey.
