William E. Luckenbaugh, age 86, of York Township, York, died at 4:54 AM Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Wellspan York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Evelyn M. (Gotwalt) Luckenbaugh.

Born January 30, 1938, in York, the son of the late William H. and Anna Luckenbaugh, he retired from McCrory’s Distribution, and was a member of the Victory Athletic Association.

Mr. Luckenbaugh is survived by two daughters, Susan A. Hamilton, of York, and Shelly A. Wilson, and her husband Robert, of Sanford, North Carolina; a son Scott A. Luckenbaugh, and his wife Gayle, of York; five grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Robert, Jr., Joshua, and Megan; ten great grandchildren, Kylin, Emily, Steven, William, Evelyn, Kaylan, Kaydence, Camden, Bryson, and Alexander; and a sister, Vada Egger, of Camp Hill. He was also preceded in death by a son, Steven A. Luckenbaugh; a brother, Paul Luckenbaugh; a sister, Linda Stambaugh; two stepbrothers, Carl and Raymond Luckenbaugh; and three stepsisters, Thelma Hoover, Virginia Harlacher, and Doris Dodson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, June 7, 2024, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with The Rev. Dr. Alan J. Watt officiating. Viewing will be from 9:00-10:00 AM. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
