William J. “Bill” Maguire, age 66, of Amblebrook at Gettysburg, formerly of Felton, was received into the Lord’s presence on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Wellspan York Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Luann (Shock) Maguire.
Born January 1, 1956 in New Jersey, he was a son of the late John P. and Juanita (Johnson) Maguire. Bill enlisted in the military and proudly served active duty in the U.S. Army from 1977-1980. He graduated from Sarasota School of Massage in 1990 and found his passion for helping people through neuromuscular myofascial therapy. He eventually opened Wellspring Health Pain Center in York before closing his practice and retiring in 2018. He was an avid hiker and loved reflecting in nature. In retirement he enjoyed his daily walks around the Gettysburg battle fields. He loved connecting with everyone he met and could carry on a conversation for hours. Bill was an active member of his church and enjoyed serving on the prayer team. He was a member of American Legion Post 455 in Stewartstown.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by three daughters, Julie Donnelly, and husband Kevin, of Reisterstown, Sarah Landis, and husband Chad, of York, and Jennifer Duckson, and husband Michael, of New Oxford; 6 grandchildren; two sisters, Karen Evans and Diane Maguire; and a brother, John Maguire, Jr. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Kevin, and Patrick Maguire; and a sister, Mary Tomb.
The family invites you to a celebration of life service at 11am on Saturday, August 27th at Grace Fellowship Church, 74 East Forrest Avenue, Shrewsbury PA. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York is in charge of arrangements.
