William G. Ogle, Sr.

William G. Ogle, Sr., age 89, of West Manchester Township, York, died at 4:27 PM Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Normandie Ridge. He was the husband of Patricia (Pfleiger) Flury-Ogle and the former husband of the late Susan A. (Steffee) Ogle.

Born January 13, 1935, in York, a son of the late William H. and Cora A. (Berger) Ogle, he retired as Chief Lineman for Met-Ed after 41 years of employment. He was a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ, Met-Ed Retirees Club, Viking Athletic Association, Hawk Gunning Club, and IBEW local #1261.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Ogle is survived by two grandchildren, Gloria L. McIntyre, and her husband Todd, of Palmyra; a grandson, William G. Ogle, III, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two stepdaughters, Theresa Flury, of Delaware, and Snowann Flury, of York; a stepson, Ted Flury, of York; and two great grandsons, Michael G. Soondar and William A. Ogle. He was also preceded in death by a son, William G. Ogle, Jr., and a brother, Kenneth Ogle.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, with Minister Gale Wenk duPont officiating. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
