William L. Plymire, age 81, of Springettsbury Township, York, died at 7:38 AM Friday, January 17, 2025, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Janice L. Plymire.

Born May 6, 1943, in York, a son of the late Harry W. and Thelma M. (Grissinger) Plymire, he graduated from York High in 1961 and York College in 1963. He played basketball for both high school and college teams.  He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church and Hawks Gunning Club.

Mr. Plymire is survived by two daughters, Cheri L. Swartzbaugh, and her husband Jeff, of Dover, and Lore M. Reed, and her husband Tommy, of York; a son, Mark A. Plymire, and his wife Leah, of York; eight grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard H. “Dick” Plymire.
